This is a list of Japanese courses offered on other CUNY campuses. The information is accurate as of Spring 2010, but the schedule and course offerings might have changed. Please visit the website of each program/campus or talk to the instructors for the latest information. About the textbook
Other schools may not be using なかま and, in such a case, there will be some gaps in grammar and vocabulary that are supposed to be covered in each level. Below are the tables of contents of major Japanese textbooks used in the U.S. Compare them if you have to use a textbook other than なかま at the school you are transferring to.

Queens College

- Coures, Major, and Minor
- Queens College usually offers three sections of JPN101 (equivalent to ELJ101 at LaGuardia) in Fall and two sections of JPN102 (equivalent to ELJ102) in Spring. The intermediate and advanced courses are offered every other semester (usually JPN203/JPN305 in Fall and JPN204/JPN306 in Spring).
- Courses on Classic Japanese, "Tale of Gengi", and Japanese movies are offered time to time
- [MINOR] There is an option to minor in Japanese (20 credits, including four semesters of Japanese and two courses taught in English relevant to Japanese literature or culture.)

Hunter College

- Hunter College offers from elementary-level courses (JPN101/JPN102) through advanced-level courses (JPN301/302)

- At Hunter (actually any CUNY campus can offer CUNY BA, but Hunter is a defact host of this major), students can major in Japanese via CUNY Baccalaureate Program
- Students need take 21 credits in Japanese, Japanese hisotry, Japanese culture, Japanese literature, and Japanese art history.
- Students in CUNY BA can take classes any CUNY campus.
- Most students take 1 year of Intermediate Japanese (6 credits), 1 year of advanced Japanese (6 credits), 1 year of Japanese culture (6 credits), and Japanese literature (at Queens)
